Arrived in Lima, Peru, where all international flights fly into. Maybe I am not speaking fairly, but don't think there is too much to see here, its a city, so we will be here only for a day before flying to the jewel of Peru, Machu Picchu.

Ate at a local place El Muelle a block from the hotel. Hee hee, both agreed it was a great choice :) As Lima is a coastal city, fresh seafood is abundant here, and Ceviche is THE DISH here - citrus marinated seafood ie. the citrus juice is used to "cook" the raw seafood. Its my favorite dish since I love anything with cilantro and lemon/lime!

Instead of serving peanuts where you get everywhere else in the world, you know what this is? Its salted roasted corn kernel!!! Its the Peruvian appetizer/snacks, pretty good, and I think less fatty than oily peanuts :)

You see that yellow garlic look-alike side dish on the shell?? Looks exactly like garlic, its not! ITS CORN KERNEL AGAIN :) Each corn kernel is like the size of 3-4 kernels in the USA! Its yummy, they steam it I think, and peel the kernel from the cob. Frank say the land in Peru is so rich that they produce these corns with giant kernels (you think he bull**** me again??? *scratch head*).

Seafood soup ...

Mix seafood ceviche. So my taste (meaning lots of lime) I thought I could eat htis everyday. You know, this is a refreshing change from the cows and more cows in Brazil and Argentina ...

Thought you might like to know another way to spell Beer House :P

Night shots didn't turn out that great, you can't see most of the background. Went to this hip and chic place walking distance from the hotel. Its like Dempsey in Singapore, but smaller, just one street.

More ceviche and giant corn kernels ... ok, that 3-colors thingy dish I have, its a fish called Tiraditos, raw slices, marinated in 3 different local sauces ... ummm ... find the slices a little too thick, so its not as smooth ... let's just say, its great for appetizer, a few slices here and there, this one is a little too much ...
